The Summary Analysis gives an overview of how a Class of Yacht is performing on Lake Ontario. The information contained in the Summary is derived from the results submitted and analyzed for individual boats around the lake. | Definition of Column Headings listed in the Summary Analysis | | BOAT CLASS/YEAR | The "Yacht Class" being analyzed and the year of the races. | | AVG ASP | This is the "weighted average ASP" (adjusted speed potential) for the Yachts included in that particular years results. | | CALC ASP | This is the "calculated weighted ASP" for each Class of Yacht included in that particular years results.
-Each individual boats races are analyzed to arrive at a "calculated ASP"
-These individual "calculated ASP's" are then used along with the number of races to arrive at a weighted ASP for the class. A boat with more races will have a higher impact on the overall number than a boat with less races. | | #DIFF BOATS | Total number of different boats used in the analysis for that Class of Yacht | | #RACES SAILED | Total number of races used in the analysis for that Class of Yacht | | STD DEV | The Standard Deviation of the data. This represents the weighted Standard Deviation of the boats in that Class of Yacht. The higher the number, the more varied the results were for the boats included. | | CALC DIFF | The "calculated difference" between the AVG ASP and the CALC ASP for that Class of Yacht | | HDCP ALERT | This is a marker for highlighting boats that may require a handicap review. |
