Handicappers!
Are you aware that you can request a review of ANY class!!!
It is strongly suggested that all Handicappers take the time to review all classes that will be reviewed by Central Council.
PHRF in general is an offspring of the Portsmouth Yardstick handicap system.
We use the D-PN number as another tool when evaluating a Class Handicap.
Reference: Portsmouth Yardstick Handbook
A spreadsheet that contains a list of MORC measured classes, showing the LOA, LWL, Disp, Draft.
A comparison was done against our database and differences is weights have been identified.
A note from the author:
NOTE: The MORC data is the average data of the measured boats for each class of boat, it could be 1 boat or many boats.
87% of the boat weights are higher in MORC than PHRF, I did not average it but it looks like around 4-500 # difference. All MORC boats were weighed, most PHRF data comes from the brochure.

A Web page designed so that you can use it to look up sailboat parameters in a large database of boats or enter your own boat and compare to the others.
In addition, for any boat you can calculate a set of quantities that will help you measure how it will perform.
