A few changes have been made to the Handicappers Manual (s)
Updates to the Handicappers Worksheet for 2020 are complete!
The Handicappers Worksheet is available to Registered Member Handicappers only.
The much anticipated, Point to Point handicap offset, has been calculated and preliminary numbers generated.
For 2020, your Central Council are releasing preliminary numbers for race organizers to use.
NOTE: The Point to Point handicap system is still being reviewed for implementation as early as 2021. The use of these numbers for 2020 and earlier racing is for information purposes only and could be used to re-score long distances Point to Point racing to view the outcome.
The following is the suggested inclusion into the Handicappers Manual:
Handicappers Manual Part II
6.7 Point to Point (P2P) handicap
A FS-P2P & NFS-P2P handicap will be calculated for all certificates.
All Mainsail must be measured or be subject to a 3 sec/nm penalty.
Including missing Main Girth Top.
At the winter Central Council meeting, it was confirmed that we will now be implementing the penalty for "Unmeasured Mainsails" on certificates that are missing ANY mainsail measurements.
In 2018 Central Council implemented the penalty for Unmeasured Mainsails.
