  • Melges IC 37 - Adam Farkas
    Action: Confirmation of handicap by review.

  • Farr 30 Mod CL - Adam Farkas
    A review of a new boat expected on the lake. Adam concerned that there will be impending appeals based on the sails & sprit and that we may need to establish a mod class. Consensus is that our rules are rules, fair or not, we will review this once the boat actually applies for a certificate. Without it, there is no way to properly assess it.
    Action: Include the “LM Graded CTL credit” as a new item for review at the next meeting (see Adam PPT)

  • Esse 850 - Adam Farkas
    Motion to adjust the handicap to achieve a FS-ASP of 75.

    (adjust FS-SP -9 from 72 to 63)

  •  Flying Tiger - Fran Doyle (tabled from 2020)
     Ref: Rochester District Meeting - Feb 22, 2020
     Action: No Action.
     Notation: Procedurally this review cannot be done until this is formally brought to Central Council as an appeal review.

    Boats with Max Girth less than the foot - Sue Sproule

    Action: send draft to Sue on notice to go out.(cc: Central Council)

    Max Girth to Mid Girth - decision needed on how to store this data.
    1) Overwrite existing Max Girth value (no program changes needed, but data tracking is lost)
    2) Continue to store Max Girth and add Mid Girth field (program changes required, no data lost)
    Action: Copy the data values from the Max Girth to an un-used field in the data table for boats before the 2022 racing certificates are issued. Then overwrite the current Max Girth with any submitted Mid Girth values.

e) Alternate TOT - Jamie Dike – tabled until March meeting.
We need to make much more clear recommendations when to use the alternate ToT. It currently reads;
’This alternate formula may be appropriate for use in Day Races and Interclub Events"

Something along the lines;
This alternate formula is most appropriate for fleets of boats with a longer LOA then the base PHRF-LO Handicaps (avg35’). When the weather is expected to be consistently more than 8 knots for the entire series.
