1. Motion to change the “scale” by which mainsail size penalties and credits are based.
- The current 100 to 103% standard sail (non-penalty) area will be moved to 98 to 101.9%. To correct credits given to some boats for marginally smaller sails below 100%.
2. Motion to modify Penalties and Credits associated with Scale listed in 1 above.
- The current adjustment of 1 sec/nm for every 1% change in sail size was increased to 2 sec/nm for every 3% change in size. It was felt that this was a more appropriate proportion change.
