New SP’s:
C&C 35-3 MOD1 (KYC) - Moved by Chris Walmsley, seconded by Dave Poulin that the MOD adjustment of +3 be applied, reflecting the change in keel design.
Carried. FS-SP 126, NFS-SP 138. Refer to comments in worksheet.
Dufour 365 (KYC) – After discussion, deferred for additional research.
FARR 11.6 (COBA) – This a correction to the FARR 38 SD information. Moved by Dave Poulin, Seconded Chris Walmsley that a FS-SP of 117 and NFS-SP of 126 be assigned, to reflect changes in weight and keel design. Carried.
However, following meeting the owner reported a new weight as recorded when the boat was being hauled for the winter (Nov 4 2023). It was also revealed that the mould used for this hull was modified from original FARR 38, so measurements would be incorrect. This assignment is being withdrawn pending measurements to be taken and new review conducted.
District Chief: Confirmed that Bill Visser will continue in DC role.
Information: Upcoming Central Council meeting (Nov 18 2023) – Hugh Morrin’s proposal re Spinnakers on Non Spinnaker design boats to be discussed.
Next meeting: February 2023, following release of Analysis Reports and prior to February CC meeting.
