Central Council News

I just wanted to let you know what progress has been made so far by your Central Council members with regards to the NFS Delta review process.

The Database!!
We currently have 1410 Boat Classes in our database all with a Flying Sails and Non Flying Sails handicaps that have varying deltas. With the adoption of the VP NFS handicap delta "all but" 78 classes were identified as having a delta that does not match the recommended VP NFS Delta and that further scrutiny was going to be needed.

Alert reviews are done.

J 100 class will be looked at.

Agenda items had to be tabled until the March 24th meeting.

Reminder to all, 

Racers who want a One Design Rule (ODR) Certificate are not issued a Non Flying Sails handicap.

Why ? ... 

Revised certificates have been issued.

Central Council is considering a change to the current whisker pole rule

Clarification to all handicappers:

the ODR handicap for the J 22 requires that those boats conform to the "Class Rules" and must carry a motor

Q. Now that the Whisker Pole penalty has been removed, can I use it (my whisker pole) to fly my "Spinnaker" and receive no penalty ?
